Glimpses: Vintage car rally

Vintage car

A couple of weeks ago, I was on my way to meet a couple of friends near MG Road, when I came across a crowd at the mouth of Brigade Road. There was a vintage car rally going on, or rather stalling, as most of the cars had stalled in the middle of the road, clogging up the already congested street further. There were old Beetles and Fiats and Contessas and even a battered-looking Maruti 800. Most cases were like the above, owners enjoying the attention while hassled policemen and pedestrians pushed the car. A nice show, but one wishes it had been better organized.
